| The northernmost point of the Outer Hebrides' Isle of Lewis - the Butt of Lewis - is where it meets the Atlantic Ocean. The red-brick lighthouse, built in the 1860s, still has scars from being shot at from German U-boats in WWII; the station was eventually automated in 1998. |
