Foxiangge (the Tower of Buddhist Incense) is the central tower of the Summer Palace complex, on top of Longevity Hill. Built in 1750 as an alternate imperial residence to the Forbidden City, it was razed by an Anglo-French force in 1860 and hastily rebuilt. It was Heritage-listed in 1998.
