The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, dominating the southern half of Toompea, built in a typical Russian revival style between 1894-9. It is Tallinn's largest (and grandest) Orthodox cathedral, but also serves as a negative reminder to many locals of previous Soviet rule over the country.
