Kiek in de Kök (Old German for "Peep into the kitchen") is a 38m artillery tower built along Tallinn's southern wall in 1475, named for the ability of the tower occupants to look into the kitchens of the lower town. Cannon balls dating back to 1577 are still embedded in its walls.
