| Seen from the University Church's tower to the north is the neo-classical Radcliffe Camera, built in 1737-49 to house the Radcliffe Science Library. The books were moved to a new building in 1861, and now serves as a reading room for the Bodleian Library, one of the oldest libraries in Europe. |
