| From the top of the Rock looking west lies the Strait of Gibraltar, linking the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean; the strait is named after the mountain. The peak visible to the south of the strait (left of picture) is in Morocco, and is part of the Atlas range stretching across North Africa. |
