| Known locally as Cat Street, Upper Lascar Row was renown for stolen goods (Cantonese thieves are called rats, dealers buying off them are cats, hence the name), and lawlessness (Lascars were East Indies seamen, known for bad behaviour). Today, curios, art galleries and antique stores abound. |
