| Peel Castle, across from the town of Peel proper, on St. Patrick's Isle, built by the Viking king Magnus III of Norway in the 11th century, from wood and later in local red sandstone. Its cathedral was used by the Sodor Diocese, later abandoned in the 18th century. |
