Memorial "Feciorilor Patriei, Sacră Amintire" / / gallery
In eastern Chisinau stands the "Sacred memory to the sons of the Motherland" complex, a memorial originally erected for Moldovan soldiers killed in action in the Soviet-Afghan war of the 1980s. It was renovated and re-dedicated in 2007.
