| At the southern foot of the Golden Anniversary bridge on the Kuching Waterfront stands the Square Tower, constructed in 1879 originally as a prison, then later turned into a fortress (but never firing a shot in any conflict). Just across Main Bazar Street is the northern face of the Old Courthouse complex. |
