| The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier marks the eastern entrance of the Ogród Saski (Saxon Gardens). The square beyond used to house the Pałac Saski (Saxon Palace) until it was destroyed by the Nazis in WWII: the arches over the tomb were the only parts to survive.
