| Just south of Castle Square stands Saint Anne's Church, erected in 1454, rebuilt in Baroque style in the 1660s after the Swedes razed it; it was in danger of collapsing but was stablised to prevent the rear sliding into the river Vistula. Miraculously it avoided major damage during WWII. |
