| At the southern end of Park SNP facing Andrej Hlinka Square is a memorial to the dead of WWII, featuring a soldier of the Soviet Red Guard. The inscription date (30 April 1945) was when Soviet soldiers raised the Victory Banner over Berlin's Reichstag; the war in Europe ended nearly two weeks later. |
