| In the tiny square is a bust of the Italian hero Giuseppe Garibali, who fled Rome after the revloutions of 1848, finding refuge here. Later leading the Risorgimento (Italian unification) in the 1860s, he respected Sanmarinese independence, and Italy unified without it. |
