| The entrance gates into the Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. It was established in 1383 to enshrine a supposed shoulder-bone of the Buddha. A shard of it was mounted onto a white elephant who wandered the jungle; the temple was built on the place it eventually laid down and died. |
