| Oatman, in western Arizona, was a former mining town, until the mines closed in 1924; the town was derelict by 1941 and abandoned by 1960. Due to recent nostalgic interest in Route 66, Oatman has been "re-discovered", partially rehabilitated as a tourist attraction. |
