Navigating the narrow, nameless streets in the north of Kotor's old town: the tower of the Orthodox church of St. Nicholas is visible ahead (centre-left of picture). The town, first mentioned in 168BC, was settled by the Roman Republic (as Acruvium) but certainly existed some time beforehand.
