The Oude Kerk (Old Church) is the city's oldest building and parish church, founded in 1213 and replaced with a stone church consecrated in 1306, now in the heart of Amsterdam's Red Light District. It was replaced as the city's main church by the Nieuwe Kerk on Dam Square in 1408.
