| On the opposite side of Trg Slobode (Liberty Square) in the city centre is the Old Town Hall, built in a neo-Renaissance style in 1894. A bell with the image of St. Florian, the city protector, was placed in the high tower in 1907. At the time the picture was taken, a labour protest was taking place in front of the building.
