| Marking the centre of Baščaršija is one of the symbols of Sarajevo: the sebilj, the old Ottoman wooden fountain, modelled on a stone fountain in Istanbul, and originally built in 1753, relocated here by the Austrians in 1891. It's a popular meeting place for both people and pigeons.
