| La Bourse/Beurs, home to the Brussels' Stock Exchange and the city's financial pulse, located in the inner city's main Boulevard Anspach/Anspachlaan a block south of De Brouckère Square. It was founded by Napoleonic decree in 1801 when Belgium was occupied by the First French Empire, and the current neo-Rennaissance building was erected between 1868-73. |
