| Walking through the town of Mykines along Fjørdsgjøta (Fjord Street), the only settlement on the island of Mykines, the westernmost of the Faroe Islands; note the lack of roads, it's either feet or - for heavier loads - a quad-bike. The population reached 150 in 1953, but has dwindled since and is now 14, as modernisation draws the younger generation to the mainland. |
