| The Pey-Berland tower, named from the archbishop of Bordeaux who commissioned its construction, just east of the cathedral of Saint Andrew, dating from the mid-15th century. It was built separate from the rest of the cathedral to protect it from the vibrations of the bells, despite not actually having any until 1851. |
