| The gothic Great Bell of Bordeaux is one of the city's southern gateways, originally the belfry of the old town hall and dating from the 15th century. It is an official symbol of the city, included on the city standard. The bell within - christened "Armande-Louise" - was cast in 1775 and weighs 7.75 tonnes. |
