| Urriðafoss ("Salmon waterfalls") on the river Þjórsá, flows with the highest volume of water of all waterfalls in Iceland, but is only 6m tall at the highest point. Plans for a hydroelectric plant here a few years ago were scrapped due to endangering the falls.
