Looking south down Narvik's main street Kongensgate (the King's Street). The town is better known for its role in the WWII Norwegian Campaign, destroyed in 1940 and hastily rebuilt; occupied by Nazi Germany, the town proved to be strategically valuable in the shipment of iron ore from northern Sweden.
