| The Lutheran Nidaros Cathedral is considered the most significant church of Norway, erected directly over the tomb of king Olav II Haraldsson, killed in battle in 1030 (he was canonised a year later as Saint Olav). While no longer coronating the Norwegian monarchy, the crown jewels still reside here. |
