| Dominating the western end of Durbar Square near the city's west gate is the red-brick Kedarnath Temple, a shrine to Shiva. On the other side of the square (far-left of picture) stands the Vatsala Durga temple, built in 1672, sadly destroyed in the 2015 earthquake. |
