| In Praça de Batalha in Porto's inner-east is the Church of St. Ildefonso, named after 7th century Visigothic saint Ildephonsus of Toledo, its exterior decorated in blue ceramic azulejos depicting his life and of the Eucharist. Eventually left in ruins, the church was rebuilt after 9 years' work in 1739.
