| The Romanian Athenaeum, built in 1888. The ornate, domed building is the city's main concert hall and has housed the George Enescu Philharmonic for over a century. It held the December 1919 conference that ratified Romania's unification with Bessarabia, Transylvania, and Bukovina to form today's Romania. |
