| The altar of the Katoghikeh church, the main chapel within the Geghard monastery and the main church of the complex. It was built in 1215, under the auspices of the generals of Queen Tamar of Georgia, who took back most of Armenia from the Seljuk Turks (already scattered by Mongol raids). |
