| The King Fahd Causeway is a series of bridges connecting north-west Bahrain to just outside Khobar on coastal Saudi Arabia. The road, built over 5 years, opened in 1986, 28km long and spanning 4 bridges, connects to an artificial island hosting the official border crossing, halfway. |
