| On the eastern edge of Saarbrücken's Altstadt (Old Town) stands the neo-gothic town hall. Built between 1897 and 1900, it is adorned with statues representing trades of bygone times, and is dominated by a 54m tower, from which a carillon sounds twice daily. |
