| The entrance to Brighton's seaside funpark, the Brighton Palace Pier (formerly the Palace, then Brighton, Pier). Built between 1891-9, it later grew to accommodate a concert hall, but was damaged in a 1973 storm, demolished in 1986, and eventually replaced with the amusement park it's now best known for. |
