| The Nordic House was built with elements from all over the Nordic countries (Norwegian slate, Finnish birch, Danish brass fittings and glass, and a traditional Faroese turf roof), promoting Nordic and Faroese arts, music, literature, film, and lectures. It is run by a steering committee of eight, of which three are Faroese and five are from other Nordic countries. |
