| Reykjavík's harbour is built along the southern stretches of Faxaflói (Faxa Bay), a major inlet on the south-western corner of Iceland. Looking north from the entrance of the harbour is the Esjan volcanic mountain range, roughly 10km away across the Faxaflói.
