| Built for a wealthy Venetian family between 1748-72, the Grassi Palace was converted into an exhibition and museum in 1978, and purchased by the Fiat company later in 1983. At this time, it was holding a surrealist exhibition (hence the bright-purple balloon-dog on the dock). |
