| Raffles' Landing Site, on Boat Quay, in the Downtown Core, located just west of the mouth of the Singapore River. Tradition states it is the location where Sir Stamford Raffles - the founder of modern Singapore - landed in on 29 January 1819, and is marked with his white statue. |
