| Peering into the Wat Phra Kaew: photography inside is forbidden. The Emerald Buddha, the most venerated figure in the country, is a jade figurine of the meditating Buddha, clothed in gold and about 66cm tall. King Rama I had it brought to Wat Phra Kaew when it was completed in 1782. |
