| Looking east, from where the Reflecting Pool meets the WWII Memorial on 17th Street SW as it intersects the National Mall, to the Washington Memorial at night. The brightly-lit marble dome of the Capitol building, at the other end of the National Mall 2.5km away, is just visible amongst the flags surrounding the monument. |
