| At the cathedral's far eastern end lies the baroque tomb of St. John of Nepomuk (the Bohemian national saint, thrown to his death off the Charles Bridge into the river Vltava in 1393), its canopy supported by silver angels; the tomb contains two tonnes of silver in all.
