| Looking across Václavské namĕstí (Wenceslas Square), stretching through Prague's New Town district, to the neo-Renaissance National Museum, built in the 1880s. An equestrian statue of Saint Wenceslas, the duke of Bohemia (r. 921-35AD) before he was canonised, adorns the square in front of the main entrance.
