| A "circus" (the collective noun for group of puffins) of Atlantic puffins, on the cliffs along the northern coast of Mykines (the island). Puffins are sociable birds and usually breed in large colonies, for companionship as much as for security from predators (usually other larger birds), basing themselves on small islands to avoid predation by most land-based mammals. |
