| Looking up at the golden central zedi of Shwezigon Pagoda, on the outskirts of Bagan. Built over 43 years and finished in 1102, the pagoda became a prototype of all subsequent pagodas built across the country since. Recent renovations has had it covered by more than 30,000 copper plates. |
