| The main south-eastern compound of the Ananda temple, dating from 1105, under king Kyanzittha. It is topped with a gilded sikhara, a tower structure originating from northern India, in a recognised fusion of Indian and local Mon architecture, and is considered the most beautiful of all Bagan's temples. |
