The neo-classical Palais Royal/Koninklijk Paleis, its northern entrance seen from the gates of Brussels Park. It dates from the 18th century, built on the grounds of the former Palace of Coudenberg, which burned down in 1731. It is not used as a royal residence however, as the Belgian monarch and their family live in the Royal Castle of Laeken on the outskirts of Brussels.
