In Sanssouci Park's south-western corner is the Kaiserbahnhof, built in 1905 for kaiser Wilhelm II as his own private railway station. After WWII, it was the terminus of the Blue Express (Soviet military Moscow-Berlin route), before passing to East German state railways in 1952. It was Heritage-listed in 1999.
