| Looking north up one of Mdina's main arteries through the centre of the citadel, Villegaignon Street (named after a French commander of the Knights Hospitaller). To the right is the fetchingly baroque entrance to the Banca Giuratale, once home to Mdina's city council, and now the national archives.
