| Just tucked behind the front walls of Mdina sits the baroque Vilhena Palace, the summer residence for the Grand Master of the Knights Hospitaller in the early 1700s, built between 1726-8. It was used as a hospital in the 19th and 20th century, and now houses the National Museum of Natural History from 1973. |
