| One of Windhoek's best-recognised landmarks is the gothic-revival Christ Church, with its 45m-tall tower, built under the German colonial era in three years and opening in 1910; it is Namibia's oldest Evangelical Lutheran church. Built with a corrugated-iron roof, it was replaced with tiles in a 1967-72 renovation. |
